Biography

Alysha Shivji’s research specializes in Business & Human Rights, focusing on access to remedy for business-related human rights abuses. Her multifaceted research experience spans academia, the private sector, civil society, and international governance. Alysha spent three years as a Research Analyst at Apple, an experience that enriched her insights into Business and Human Rights. Aysha conducted a case study with the Fair Food Program for her doctoral research and to contribute to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights’ Accountability and Remedy Project. She continues to pursue impactful research that focuses on bottom-up and worker-driven approaches to protect the rights of workers at the base of the supply chain and promote sustainable and just business practices.
